He [Lasha-Giorgi, E.K.] pictured Julian, the disciple of Libanius and Ctesias and persecuted by the Emperor Constantius, lifted by the Legionnaires upon their shields and proclaimed an Emperor […], the poetically exalted  Emperor turned out to be divorced from the reality […] Lasha could not even think of putting his talent and ability above the talent and ability of the strong and learned Emperor […], the king’s heart ached seeing the powerlessness of the Emperor[…] the Catholicos vividly  described Julian the Apostate to the audience: he showed the Emperor as selfish and amoral” (p. 66)
