Comment	T. Khaukhchishvili: “It has been established in special scientific literature that the author of “The History and Eulogy of Monarchs” used Ioane Petritsi’s works. In such conditions it is absolutely natural to compare the praiseworthy king with the world renowned sages – Socrates and Plato –well-known to the author” (T. Khaukhchishvili, Antique World in the Historiography of Rustaveli Epoch. Historians of Tamar, Macne, the series of history, archeology, ethnography and history of art, Tbilisi, 1974, p. 106). K. Kekelidze: “The dual character of the author’s education [Western Greek-Byzantine education and Iranian Arabian education, E. K.] is more vividly seen from the poetic comparisons and literary characters, with which the literary work is replete and through which it transgresses boundaries of historical work and enters the realm of poetic creation…” (K. Kekelidze, The history of old Georgian literature, vol. II, Tbilisi, 1981, pg. 268).
